Amy Radford

Born in Australia, Amy studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, London.  She is currently a member of the Glyndebourne Chorus.

Amy has performed the roles of The Mother in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Giunone in Cavalli’s La Calisto, Diana in Haydn’s La Fedelta Premiata, Clarice in Haydn’s Il Mondo della Luna and La Contessa in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.  She recently covered Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan Tutte for Glyndebourne on Tour.

Amy has performed in concert at the Sydney Opera House in 2007 and 2008, and in 2007 she performed as a concert soloist at Australia House, London.  In June 2007 she received third place in the national Dame Joan Sutherland Award, and in January 2008 she was a finalist in the Richard Lewis Competition at the Royal Academy of Music.

Amy was the 2007 recipient of the Royal Academy of Music ‘Australian Music Foundation Scholarship’, and the 2008 Kohn Vocal Scholarship and received a scholarship to attend the Accademia Solti Bel Canto Summer School in Italy in 2008.
