Uruguayan tenor Andrés Presno studied at Escuela Departamental de Canto Lírico in Maldonada, Uruguay, with Rina Baffa and Escuela Nacional de Arte Lírico del Sodre in Montevideo under Raquel Pierotti. He is continuing his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Yvonne Kenny on a scholarship and with the support of Centro Cultural de Música (Uruguay). He has also studied with Jorge Ansorena in Florence and attended masterclasses with Brenda Hurley, Edith Wiens, David Gowland and André Heller-Lopes. Opera includes Messenger Aida, Parpignol and Benoît La bohème, Le Remendado Carmen, Cassio Otello, Giuseppini El dúo de la Africana, Gastone de Letorières La traviata, Ricardo La del Manojo de Rosas and Pinkerton Madama Butterfly at Sodre; chorus and solo roles at the Punta Classics Festival and Dr Caius Falstaff and Edmondo Manon Lescaut at Teatro Solis in Montevideo. He also participated in a song recital called Faust Visions in the Sodre chamber music season.
