Catriona Hewitson currently studies at the Royal College of Music International Opera School (RCMIOS). She was also a member of the English National Opera Works Development Programme and a finalist in both the 2016 and 2017 Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards and Royal Over-Seas League Vocal Category. Roles include covering Sophie in Werther, Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande and Iphise in Dardanus (English Touring Opera); Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Musetta in La bohème and Monica in The Medium (Magnetic Opera); Cis in Albert Herring (The Grange Festival); Cock in The Cunning Little Vixen, Ida in Die Fledermaus and Emmie in Albert Herring (RCMIOS;) and Amore in Orfeo ed Euridice (Royal Northern College of Music). Highlights in concert include St Martin-in-the-Fields, Edinburgh International Festival and touring with the Ulster Orchestra. Future performances include Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Catriona is an Emma Rose Scholar supported by Royal College of Music and the Norah Popple Award and has also been generously supported by the Hope Scott Trust, James Caird Travelling Fund, Cross Trust and PS.
