Having the opportunity to spend a week with a small number of other young musicians in such an intense learning environment as the Samling Artist Programme is a rare privilege. During my participation I had the opportunity to work with some really excellent mentors, in particular David Syrus and Olaf Bär, on my voice and polishing some repertoire in great detail. As is so often the case with opportunities as a young musician, these important mentors and this important work led to further opportunities, including my participation in the Salzburg Festival Young Singers’ Project. I am not sure I’d be where I am today without these two opportunities and for that I cannot be thankful enough to Samling Institute.
