John Heuzenroeder has performed as a tenor soloist with Opera Australia, at the International Festivals in Sydney and Melbourne, and in many theatres throughout Germany. He is a member of the Ensemble in the City of Cologne’s Opera company.
John has performed a very broad spectrum of operatic works with Conductors including Marcus Stenz, Simone Young, Marcus Proschner and Konrad Junghänel. On the concert platform he worked with the Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmanian and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras.
Highlights in 2014 included “Oronte” (Alcina) in Cologne and Wuppertal, “Tom Rakewell” in Oldenburg, “Kaufmann” in Wolfgang Rihm’s “Jakob Lenz” in Cologne and “Jacquino” (Fidelio) with the Dresdner Philharmonie. In 2015 he performed Quint: The Turn of the Screw and “The Diary of one who disappeared” (Janáček) in Cologne.
