Australian soprano Lauren Fagan has attracted significant attention over the past two seasons as a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, singing such roles as Oscar Un ballo in maschera, Papagena Die Zauberflöte and Giannetta L’elisir d’amore.
A recent graduate of the programme, this season’s highlights include her operatic debut with Welsh National Opera as Musetta in Annabel Arden’s production of La bohème, conducted by Manlio Benzi across the UK and on tour in Dubai, as well as her role debut as Donna Anna Don Giovanni for the Verbier Festival Academy.
In concert Lauren makes her BBC Proms debut in Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Sakari Oramo and sings her first performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the State Philharmonic of Sibiu. Further ahead Lauren joins the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Antonio Pappano.
