Armenian pianist Marianna Abrahamyan currently studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) and is a graduate from the University of Agder in Norway and the Yerevan State Conservatoire in Armenia. A keen accompanist, she recently made her debut at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris and has appeared in recital at the Piano City Festival in Milan, La salle de l’Institut in Orléans, Columbia Global Centre in Paris, Festival Musica da Casa Menotti in Spoleto, Chiostro dei Teatini in Lecce, Festival Internacional Encuentros in Buenos Aires and Festival Pro Arte in Córdoba. She has appeared with Volgograd State Symphony Orchestra, Agder Symphony Orchestra and with the Court Circuit Ensemble in France. Collaborations with living composers include Philip Hersant, Hèctor Parra, Pierre Jodlowski, Konrad Mikal Orhn and Alicia Terzian. Recent prizes include Second Prize at the Concours international de piano d’Orléans and the Dennis Horner Accompanist’s Prize through the Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary for Young Singers in 2016. She also won First Prize at the Bamber Galloway piano competition at RCS. Marianna is very grateful to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for generously supporting her studies.
