Portuguese Baritone Nuno de Araújo Pereira completed his B.A. degree in Musical Performance at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He is presently completing his PGdip Opera at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the RSAMD where he continues studying with Alan Watt.
He has participated in masterclasses with Renato Bruson, Philip Langridge, Jane Irwin, Laura Sarti and Oliveira Lopes. Nuno has also worked with Dimitri Kavrakos.
He has performed the role of Argante Rinaldo at the RSAMD in May 2006, First Robber in Vanishing Bridegroom and was the cover of Ford Falstaff at the RSAMD.
Roles performed in part include: Ford Falstaff, Le Mari Mameles de Tirésias, Sharpless Madama Butterfly, Count Almaviva Marriage of Figaro.
He has participated in performances of Idomeneo Mozart, Orpheo and Euridice Gluck and Dido and Aeneas Purcell. He had the honour of performing in Glasgow´s inaugural concert celebrating the 30th year anniversary of the Portuguese Carnation Revolution.
Nuno’s oratorio schedule includes the performance of works such Solemn Vespers Mozart, Come Ye Sons Of Art Purcell, Israel In Egypt Handel.
