British-Australian soprano Samantha Clarke is studying with Yvonne Kenny on her second year on the Opera Course
at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD). Samantha is the recipient of numerous awards including the
Dame Eva Turner Award, the Michael and Joyce Kennedy Award for the singing of Strauss, The Robin Kay Memorial
Prize for Opera Singing and a 2017 Royal Northern College of Music Gold Medal. Roles include: Anne Trulove Rake’s
Progress and Donna Elvira Don Giovanni (British Youth Opera); Fiordilgi Così fan tutte and the title role in Theodora
(Royal Northern College of Music); Pamina and First Lady Die Zauberflöte (Longborough Festival Opera); Anna
Gomez The Consul (GSMD); and Beth Little Women (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts). Upcoming
engagements include Fiordiligi Così fan tutte and Helena A Midsummer Night’s Dream (GSMD). Samantha is grateful
to be a Baroness de Turckheim, Tait Memorial Trust and Countess of Munster Trust Scholar as well as a Nora
Goodridge Developing Artist through the Australian Music Foundation.
