James Garnon trained at RADA following a degree in English at the University of Edinburgh. For the last fourteen years James has been a regular on the stage at Shakespeare’s Globe during which time he has appeared in over twenty productions. He has also worked regularly with the Royal Shakespeare Company and with The Factory, appearing in their ground-breaking production of Hamlet.
James recently finished in Rupert Goold’s production of Richard III at the Almeida Theatre alongside Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave, as well as performing the title role in Pericles for Dominic Dromgoole and as Autolycus in The Winter’s Tale for Michael Longhurst at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe. Film and television credits include Testament of Youth, The Real American: Joe McCarthy, Anonymous, The Brussels, Who Killed the Princes in the Tower, Foyle’s War, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, Syntax Era and Without Motive II.
