| Paul trained as a classical tenor and has worked as a musical director and choral conductor before specialising for 25 years in working with the solo voice. |

Paul is uniquely qualified as a Specialist Vocal Coach, was for 20
years Clinical Vocal Consultant at University Hospital Birmingham, and is currently an Associate with a number of Harley St ENT practices. Having taught at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM),
Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, he is now Vocal Health and Technique Consultant to the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the ROH Covent Garden, and vocal coach to some of the world’s foremost opera and concert performers. |

| Paul has been involved with Samling Masterclass since 1997 and participates in Samling’s Outreach projects with schools. internationally recognised as one of the foremost vocal trouble-shooters, he is in demand for workshops and teaching worldwide. |

| Paul is visiting vocal consultant to Göteborgs Operan, Sweden and has an open invitation to work with the young artists on the Lindemann Programme at the Metropolitan Opera and at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Since autumn 2011 he has been visiting Professor at the Operahogskolan in Stockholm. |

| For several months last year Paul was vocal coach to, and assisted in the music supervision on the movie ‘Quartet’ directed by Dustin Hoffman with cast including Dame Maggie Smith, Pauline Collins, Sir Tom Courtenay and Billy Connolly. This is currently in post production and will be released later in 2012. |

| Paul has just returned from his seventh visit as principal tutor to the New Zealand Opera School, has given a masterclass to the Choral scholars of New College Oxford, and leaves directly from this Samling week to coach the Young Artists on both the Acting and Opera programmes at the New National Theatre Tokyo. Later in 2013 he will be a guest coach with the Danish Radio Choir. |
