British–Hungarian soprano Anna Cavaliero is a current member of the studio of the Opéra National de Lyon and this summer will also join Garsington Opera as an Alvarez Young Artist. In 2018, Anna sang the roles of La Fortuna, Damigella and Venere L’incoronazione di Poppea (Longborough Festival Opera), and Zerlina Don Giovanni (Waterperry Opera Festival). She made her international operatic debut at the Philharmonie de Luxembourg as The Princess in Peter Maxwell Davies’ The Hogboon. Further opera roles have included Mab and Adelaide The Enchanted Pig (Jonathan Dove, Hampstead Garden Opera); Euridice (cover) Orfeo ed Euridice (Longborough Festival Opera); Galatea Acis and Galatea, serenata in tre parti (Snape Maltings); Pamina Die Zauberflöte, La Musica and Proserpina L’Orfeo, Annina La traviata and Flora The Turn of the Screw. Anna concluded her postgraduate studies with Barbara Bonney at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg and holds master’s degrees from the Royal College of Music and University of Cambridge.
