Samling Friend

Become part of the Samling family today

Supporting outstanding young artists of all ages is extremely rewarding. Friends play an important role in enabling Samling Institute to support musical excellence in young people through our Samling Artist Programme for early-career singers and pianists, through Samling Academy in North East England and through our work in schools.

Samling Friends are at the heart of our creative community. Together, they help make the Samling experience unique and we are hugely grateful for their support.

In return, Friends receive excellent benefits with opportunities to meet emerging and international stars and invitations to attend private Samling Institute concerts. Friends also receive priority booking for Samling Artist Programme masterclasses at Marchmont House, which due to Covid-19 capacity limits are currently in very high demand. All Friends memberships are considered charitable donations and are eligible for Gift Aid where applicable.

For an annual membership of just £40 (or a joint membership of £60) you will receive the following:

  • Priority booking for Samling Institute events at Marchmont House
  • Invitations to join emerging and international stars after Samling Institute events, including a complimentary drink
  • Assisted ticket booking
  • Regular newsletter
  • Acknowledgement in concert programmes and selected print

‘Being a Friend affords the opportunity to give personal encouragement to these singers and accompanists who are starting out on their careers. It is a great thrill to watch the future development of their careers, knowing that you heard it here first.’
