Jo Ramadan studied at Durham University and at the Royal College of Music where he is now Professor of Vocal Repertoire and assistant conductor in the International Opera School. Recent performances include organist in Curlew River for BBC at the Aldeburgh Festival, nominated for a BBC Philharmonic Award and joining the music staff at the Royal Opera House to play organ and conduct the off-stage chorus and players in Turandot and Peter Grimes. Upcoming work as pianist includes concerts and recordings with Grange Festival and Garsington Opera as well as returning to Oxenfoord International Summer School and Grasmere Song as coach and conductor. He regularly returns to Samling Institute as staff pianist for the Samling Artist Programme and as a leader for Samling Academy.
