Caitlin Mackenzie was born on the Isle of Lewis and is a recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she completed her MMus studies with Elizabeth McCormack. Caitlin’s recent credits include Auntie Peter Grimes (British Youth Opera), Dritte Damme Die Zauberflöte and Spirit Cendrillon (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and Scottish Opera Chorus in La bohème and in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice at the Edinburgh International Festival. Upcoming engagements include a return to Scottish Opera Chorus for Turandot and solos in Mozart’s Requiem and Bruckner’s Mass in D minor with Sòlas Ensemble.

Since 1996, the Samling Artist Programme has provided intensive residential masterclass weeks for early-career singers and pianists, followed by professional development and support through our activities and established networks.
