Winner of Second Prize in the 2025 Kathleen Ferrier Awards, British-Chinese tenor Philippe Durrant is swiftlly establishing a reputation for his expressive singing and instinctive storytelling. In 2026, he is a Carnegie Hall SongStudio Artist, and will make his debut with the Dunedin Consort in a programme of Bach cantatas in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, conducted by John Butt. Philippe studied at the Royal College of Music, where he was generously supported by a Leverhulme Arts Scholarship, Help Musicians UK and the Josephine Baker Trust. Having previously read Music at Durham University, where he also took part in Samling Academy, Philippe has sung with English National Opera, Glyndebourne and Garsington.
