Romanian soprano Daniela Popescu is currently completing her Masters at the Royal College of Music with Sarah Tynan where she is a Karaviotis, Drake Calleja Trust and Josephine Baker Trust scholar. This year she made her debut at the Divadlo na Vinohradech in Prague, singing Leonora’s aria ‘Pace Mio Dio’, La Forza del destino. In opera scenes at the Royal College of Music she has sung the roles of Countess Le nozze di Figaro and Blanche Dialogues des Carmélites.
In July 2022 Daniela participated in the Georg Solti Academia Bel Canto Course in Italy, studying with Jonathan Papp, Stefano Baldasseroni, Roberto Frontali, Barbara Frittoli and Richard Bonynge. In 2023 she will join the Mascarade Emerging Artist Programme in Italy.
