Swedish-Taiwanese pianist Emily Hoh graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2022 with distinction, studying an MPerf in collaborative piano under Simon Lepper, Roger Vignoles, and Kathron Sturrock. She accompanied several prize-winners of vocal competitions and was awarded the pianist prizes at the RCM’s annual Lieder competition and Brooks van der Pump 2022 English Song Competition. She has taken part in collaborative piano masterclasses with Lydia Brown (The Juilliard School) on American Song and with Mark Padmore on Dichterliebe as part of the Lewes Song Festival.
Prior to her music studies, Emily read BSc Psychology at University College London where she graduated with first-class honours. Her dissertation, which investigated retrospective evaluations of musical experiences, was published in 2022 by the journal of Psychology, Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts. Emily is accompanist-in-residence at Westminster School and accompanies regularly at the Royal College of Music.
