British soprano Hannah Crocker made her principal role debut this summer jumping in as Merab in Barrie Kosky’s renowned production of Handel’s Saul at Glyndebourne, where she
also made her role debut as Erste Knappe and covered the role of Dritte Blumenmädchen in a new production of Wagner’s Parsifal under the baton of Robin Ticciati. Previous engagements at Glyndebourne include covering the role of Zoe in the world premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Uprising earlier this year, and being a member of the Glyndebourne Chorus for numerous seasons.
Other previous engagements include covering for Woolf Works at the Royal Opera House (Royal Ballet), and numerous performances on the concert platform at venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, Arundel Cathedral, Romsey Abbey, and Lincoln Cathedral.
Hannah received a Bachelor of Music degree with First-Class Honours from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and was awarded the Director’s Prize of Excellence in
Voice. She was later awarded a Master of Performance with Distinction from the Royal College of Music, where she was a Theo Max van der Beugel Scholar and supported by the Josephine Baker Trust. She is also very proud to be a Samling Artist.
