Scottish tenor Liam Bonthrone is in his second year of postgraduate study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, under the tutelage of Robert Dean and Adrian Thompson. Liam recently performed his debut as Don Ramiro in Rossini’s La Cenerentola with British Youth Opera and won two major Opera awards for his performances. Liam has performed as a soloist in many major venues including Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, Milton Court and De Doelen, Rotterdam. Solo recording credits include BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. Highlights this season include a Russian Song Exchange in St. Petersburg, and the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform. This summer, Liam will perform the role of Delmonte, in Verdi’s Un giorno di Regno, with Garsington Opera.
