Michael Ronan

Bass-baritone, Samling Artist Programme: 2025

Northumbrian bass-baritone Michael Ronan is the recipient of Glyndebourne’s 2023 John Christie Award, the Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition Richard Tauber Prize, the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Prince’s Prize and the Royal Academy of Music’s 2022 Bicentenary Prize. Michael graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2023 and entered Glyndebourne’s Jerwood Young Artist Programme, singing Masetto Don Giovanni, The Keeper of the Madhouse The Rake’s Progress and 2eme Commissaire Dialogues des Carmélites. Upcoming engagements include the world premiere of Will Todd’s Angels on the Underground with Harry Christophers and The Sixteen at the Young Vic theatre and Quince A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Glyndebourne.
