Born in India, Sid Ramchander grew up in Bahrain, where he won the Young Musician of The Gulf. He studied with Aleksandar Madžar at the the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, where he also received coaching from Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Evgeny Mogilevsky, Eugen Indjic and Andrzej Jasiński. He obtained Advanced Post Graduate Diplomas in solo performance and accompaniment from the Royal Northern College of Music, studying with Richard Ormrod and was a Junior Fellow in Accompaniment at the RNCM. He has appeared in masterclasses with Julius Drake, James Baillieu, Steven Hough, Steven Kovacevich and Adrian Brendel. Other engagements in UK, Europe and the Middle East include solo recitals, concertos, orchestral piano, song accompaniment and performances with piano trio and contemporary music ensembles.
