British Mezzo-soprano Heather Lowe has recently finished at the National Opera Studio under the tuition of Susan Waters.
While at the Royal Northern College of Music Heather played the roles of Orfeo Orfeo ed Euridice, Penelope Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria, Vara Paradise Moscow and Florence Pike Albert Herring. For British Youth Opera Heather sang Fidalma The Secret Marriage. Heather was a member of the chorus for Glyndebourne Festival Opera 2014 in Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni and La Traviata. Last September she covered the role of 2nd Witch and Dama Macbeth for Scottish Opera.
During her time at the National Opera Studio, she has performed the roles of Hermia A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sesto La Clamenza di Tito with Scottish Opera and Zerlina Don Giovanni and 2nd Lady The Magic Flute with WNO. In September this year she will be covering Rosina The Barber of Seville, for Opera North and again with WNO in January
