Henriikka Gröndahl

Finnish-born, Swedish soprano Henriika Gröndahl trained at GSMD in London and the RSAMD in Glasgow. From the moment she graduated with honours, she was considered as one of the most promising lyrical sopranos of her generation.

In 2003 she completed her vocal studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and were immediately offered to sing for British Youth Opera, Scottish Opera and Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Gran Teatro Liceu, the Gothenburg Opera and the Royal Opera House of Stockholm. During this period she performed her favourite roles such as Mimi and Musetta La bohème, Donna Elvira Don Giovanni, Pamina Die Zauberflöte and Fiordiligi Così fan tutte. Henriikka has enjoyed working with directors and conductors such as Sir Thomas Allen, Gustavo Dudumel, Adrian Noble, Piero Giorgio Morandi, Elisabet Linton, Pietro Rizzo, Sebastian Weigle and Guy Joosten.

Furthermore Henriika frequently performs a broad concert repertoire with the great Orchestras of Scandinavia and Europe.

The highlights of season 15/16 includes Bach’s Christmas Oratorium at Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and an engagement with Folkoperan in Stockholm.
