Jo Ramadan

Pianist, Samling Artist Programme: 2010 & 2012

Jo Ramadan began his music studies as a chorister at Chapel Royal St James’s Palace. After graduating from Durham University, he studied at the Royal College of Music with John Blakely and Roger Vignoles. Jo was Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master for British Youth Opera with Southbank Sinfonia for performances of L’elisir d’amore. He is currently an associate artist as Assistant Conductor and pianist with The Mozartists.

He has recently been Assistant Conductor at Drottningholm Festival for Handel Ariodante and at Grange Festival for Britten A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He is Director of Music at St Vedast Foster Lane, accompanist and professor of vocal repertoire at the Royal College of Music and conductor and tutor at Oxenfoord International Summer School. He regularly returns to Samling Institute as a leader for Samling Academy.
