Nardus Williams

Samling Artist Programme: 2015

Nardus Williams is a young soprano who earlier this year won the Trinity Laban Gold Medal Competition at King’s Place, becoming the first singer ever to win this award. During her time at Trinity, her principal study teacher was David Thomas, in addition to being mentored by Matthew Rose.

Nardus will be a Park Lane Group Artist for the 2015/16 season, with recitals scheduled at St John’s Smith Square.

Recent performances include Nitocris in Handel’s Belshazzar under Nicholas Kraemer and Strauss’s Four Last Songs with the Kingfisher Sinfonia under Elgar Howarth in Aldeburgh.

She is currently studying on the Postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music with Lillian Watson, and is generously supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Helen Roll Charity, The Winship Foundation and a Help Musicians UK Maidment Award.
