Two rising stars of classical music celebrate nature in a concert perfect for an evening in spring. Multiple award-winning Samling Artists soprano Harriet Burns and pianist Ian Tindale will showcase music by Schubert, Schumann, Fauré, Vaughan Williams and Copland in the intimate setting of The Lit and Phil.

Please join us for a complimentary glass of sparkling wine prior to the performance.

The Northern Counties Club is delighted to present this evening in partnership with world-class Northumberland-based arts charity Samling.

World-renowned English bass Sir John Tomlinson, vocal teacher Patricia MacMahon and award-winning pianist and Samling Artist Joseph Middleton lead a masterclass with eight specially selected young artists from around the world. This afternoon offers audiences insight into the work that goes on in private during a Samling residential week. A short concert featuring both opera and song completes a lively afternoon of learning and music making.
